Since signing with Ring Of Honor, Bandido has been prominently featured in the promotion. He initially debuted as part of the LifeBlood stable in early 2019 but he soon left and found new allies. This has led to great success for El Mas Buscado as on January 11th, he captured the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships with Flamita & Rey Horus from Villain Enterprises.

Also on Saturday,

Ring Of Honor announced on Twitter

that Bandido had re-signed with the promotion. There were no details about the length of the new contract.

His re-signing wasn't always a certainty, however.

Dave Meltzer explained on Wrestling Observer Radio

that a couple of months ago the PWG Star planned to become a free agent and be "The King of the Indies" as many promotions were looking for an ace. Both AEW and WWE were also interested in signing the luchador but neither matched ROH's offer, so he decided to stay put.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer said: "A couple of months ago I was told Bandido was looking at not signing anywhere. That Bandido wanted to be a free agent and just be like The King of the Indies because they felt all these Indie promotions would be, with everybody being signed... Be looking for an ace and he could go around and be that guy because he’s charismatic and everything like that. But Ring Of Honor really made a great offer for him. Better offer than WWE. Better offer than AEW. So he’s staying."
