The Aussie Open tag team is having one hell of a month. Back at NJPW Sakura Genesis just over a week ago, the pair of Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher defeated Bishimon to become the brand new IWGP Tag Team Champions. It hasn’t taken them long to add to their list of prizes after another huge win.

At NJPW Capital Collison last night, Aussie Open defeated The Motor City Machine Guns and Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kazuchika Okada in a huge triple threat match main event to claim the NJPW Strong Tag Team Championships, making them double champions, and ending MCMG’s reign at 170 days.

Following the bell, they claimed to be the best tag team in the entire world. In response to chants of “FTR” from the US crowd, they revealed their own goals of pursuing several title belts, similar to what FTR did last year as they became AAA, IWGP, and ROH Tag Team Champions. Aussie Open could well be on their way to achieving a similar feat.
