Andrade Reportedly Warns Two Indy Stars WWE 'Isn't What It's Cracked Up To Be'
SmackDown Live standout putting his pals off?
Jan 19, 2019
There was a time when working for WWE was the pinnacle for any aspiring professional wrestler. In 2019, that simply isn't the case anymore, as companies the world over are able to provide viable alternatives to working for Vince McMahon et al.
WWE's rather aggressive talent signing policy has created all sorts of headlines in recent times, and while a whole host of the world's top indy talent has joined the company, there are a few names that have opted for elsewhere.
And according to Dave Meltzer in the latest
Wrestling Observer Newsletter, two more talents could be on the verge of turning down WWE thanks to advice given by one of SmackDown Live's outstanding performers - Andrade.
For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Meltzer penned in the latest
WON: "In the case of Rush, he’s very close with Andrade, who pretty much warned him and Dragon Lee about going to WWE. There is the belief Dragon Lee will be making a move similarly, with the same idea of signing a one-year deal if possible, to take advantage of free agency early next year. It still could be ROH because ROH offers the line to New Japan which, at least this week, AEW doesn’t. But who knows what happens by the end of this year.
"In the end, ROH got the deal because New Japan, the promotional partner of CMLL, pushed Alonso to assign him to their partner as ROH wanted to use him as a regular in 2018 and because Andrade’s advice was that WWE wasn’t what it was cracked up to being, which also probably explains Andrade’s recent push now that there is a far more competitive marketplace and he’s a real talent who would have plenty of options when his contract expires."
