AEW Sign Brodie Lee’s Eight-Year-Old Son
Brodie Huber Will Join AEW When He’s Of Age…
Dec 30, 2020
All Elite Wrestling commentator Tony Schiavone revealed on the What Happened When With Tony Schiavone Podcast that AEW have signed the late Brodie Lee’s eight-year-old son Brodie Huber to a contract.
Speaking with Conrad Thompson, Schiavone was reminiscing about Brodie Lee, real name Jon Huber, who passed away on December 26, and revealed how Tony Khan and AEW have helped Lee’s family throughout his illness and subsequent passing:
“Knowing that Brodie was very sick and knowing it was holiday time, and I guess knowing that for him to kick out, it was going to be, I don’t want to say a miracle, but it was going to be very difficult to kick out, they had brought little Brodie to TV – and wrestling is his life. He is eight years old. He really is a great kid. They made him a member of The Dark Order. They put a mask on him. He came out with a kendo stick. He beat up a lot of people.”
Schiavone went on to confirm that AEW have signed Brodie Huber to a contract:
“This of course was at a TV taping with nobody in the audience. They signed him to a contract. They legitimately signed him to a contract and when he gets of age, he will be with AEW.”
AEW will honour Brodie Lee’s life with a special remembrance episode of AEW: Dynamite on Wednesday December 30. In memory of Jon Huber, 100% of the proceeds from Cultaholic’s AEW: Dynamite live reactions stream on Wednesday December 30 will be donated to the American Lung Association.
