AEW’s Kip Sabian has successfully undergone surgery on an injured arm, and has posted an update to Twitter.

Sabian Tweeted:

“Surgery was a success, now we rebuild. Thanks everyone who reached out

Sabian last wrestled in the Arcade Anarchy main event of AEW: Dynamite on March 25, and was subsequently written off TV at the hands of former best friend Miro.

Prior to this Sabian was out from December 2020 until February 2021, and as a result has only wrestled six matches in 2021.

There’s no word yet on the nature of Sabian’s injury or surgery, and likewise no timetable for recovery and eventual return. It is assumed that when Sabian returns he’ll likely enter a feud with Miro, with the new TNT Champion’s path of destruction through AEW beginning with his dismantling of Sabian.

Regardless, Sabian is 28 years old with a bright future ahead of him. No matter iff this surgery was a major procedure or just to fix a cumulation of minor injuries, here’s hoping that Superbad comes back stronger than before.
