All Elite Wrestling held its latest round of Rampage tapings on July 12, recording the upcoming episode of their Friday night in-ring show after the live Dynamite from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

SPOILERS AHEAD

With Ruby Soho advancing to the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Final on Dynamite, all eyes were on the remaining semi final, as Willow Nightingale took on ROH Women’s Champion Athena. The match was originally meant to take place earlier this month but was delayed after Nightingale’s NJPW STRONG Championship bout against Giulia. Willow shook off any injury concerns though, giving Athena her first pinfall loss in over a year to advance to the finals on July 15.

Elsewhere in AEW’s women’s division, Taya Valkyrie overcame Izzy McQueen in singles action, but found herself in Toni Storm and Saraya’s crosshairs post-match. Valkyrie challenged AEW Women’s World Champion Storm to a title match at Battle of the Belts VII on July 15, with Storm accepting before adding that she’ll embarrass Valkyrie in front of her fellow Canadians.

Ahead of the huge Blood & Guts match on the July 19 Dynamite, Konosuke Takeshita was in singles action with a win over Mentallo, whilst Lance Archer made his AEW return with an emphatic victory over Trent Beretta before calling out International Champion Orange Cassidy for a match at Battle of the Belts.
