All Elite Wrestling are preparing for the Christmas period and the promotion taped the special Holiday Bash edition of AEW Rampage on Wednesday night at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The show will air on Friday, December 22.

The taping featured two title matches and The Hardys in action.

SPOILERS AHEAD

In the opening contest of the taping, Orange Cassidy defended the AEW International Championship against CHAOS and Best Friends faction-mate Rocky Romero only days after Romero lost the CMLL World Historic Welterweight Championship. Cassidy ultimately won the match to continue his second reign as AEW International Champion.

Following on from her aligning with Julia Hart, Skye Blue was in action in the second match of Rampage as she picked up a win over Queen Aminata. The Hardys also wrestled on Rampage but they failed to defeat The Kingdom of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. The Hardys have failed to win a televised match in AEW since early October.

In the main event of Rampage, El Hijo del Vikingo successfully defended the AAA Mega Championship against Black Taurus in a rematch from ROH Final Battle. Tony Khan noted on X that the match was a "doozy."
