AEW Planning To Turn Grand Slam Into A PPV From 2024

With reports stating that All Elite Wrestling are planning on running 12 monthly pay-per-view events going forward, we may have an indication on what one of those PPV shows could be.

During the Dynamite and Rampage tapings as part of Grand Slam III in New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium, AEW CEO Tony Khan teased that next year’s event in Arthur Ashe could be a pay-per-view rather than TV tapings, with a report from PWInsider Elite suggesting early plans are in place to make Grand Slam IV a bigger event.

AEW are already set to air eight PPVs in 2023, with reports suggesting that a December PPV is in the works to follow WrestleDream in October and Full Gear in November.

So far there have been three Grand Slam events in AEW history, with the first in 2021 marking the first-ever AEW stadium show. The inaugural Grand Slam opened with a historic first AEW meeting between Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega, with the pair going to a time-limit draw in front of a rabid audience.
