AEW: Dynamite Results - December 15 2021
Winter is Coming 2021
Dec 16, 2021
Winter is Coming was one of the most instrumental Dynamites of 2020, and last night’s edition looks like it could be in the conversation for one of 2021’s biggest Dynamite episodes.
AEW decided to kick WIC off in the biggest way possible; Hangman vs. Danielson for the AEW World Championship.
No hyperbole, this was a MOTY contender, as the two beat the ever loving (cowboy) s*** out of one another. The crowd were loud throughout, with duelling chants ringing out for the two competitors. Both men put it all on the line, with a cocky Danielson looking to finish it on the mat, as Hangman matched him almost hold for hold. Danielson got the advantage after Page took a big bump off the apron onto his shoulder, with a ruthless ‘American Dragon’ opening the champ up.
After absorbing some more punishment from Danielson, Page got an opening with a Deadeye on the apron, but a trip to the high rent district backfired, as Page hurtled through the timekeepers table from the top rope. Danielson continued his assault with a DDT onto the exposed concrete outside the ring, but Page wouldn’t stay down, despite his injured shoulder leaving him without the ability to hit the lariat. As the time ticked down, Danielson locked in the Danielson stomps, but Page fought back with some stomps of his own. Danielson locked in the LeBell Lock, but Page fought out, and finally connected with the Buckshot Lariat, but the bell rang at the 60-minute mark before Page could get the pin. An amazing bout that showcased both men’s abilities, but the question remains; is this a case of Hangman failing to put away Danielson, or with two time limit draws to his name already, is it Danielson who has trouble finishing off his opponents?
Superkliq (and Bobby Fish) aren’t through with CHAOS, and suggested an eight-man tag between the two sides on Rampage, with Nick Jackson promising to end Sue’s ‘career’. Adam Cole also teased a present for next week’s Christmas edition of Dynamite… could it be an ‘undisputed’ present?
We got a video from Malakai Black at his compound as he indoctrinated the first official member of the House of Black. Black talked about ‘violence’, before saying his new follower will be ‘so much more than a King’…
The issues between Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb reached a crescendo as the two met in a ‘rubber’ bout to see who was the best out of the two. Shida was fired up and the two beat seven bells out of each other from the off, but ‘The Professor of Professional Wrestling’ gained control of the match, and wore Shida down. With Shida’s previously injured knee being worked over it looked as though Deeb would get the win, but Shida got a jackknife pin out of nowhere, clasping her knee as her arm was raised in victory.
MJF and Dante Martin met in Dynamite’s main event to see who would take home the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF came to the ring with a mic in hand to run down the crowd, Dante Martin and CM Punk, even namedropping Ryback in the process. MJF underestimated Dante Martin as their match kicked off, with 2021’s breakout star peppering the ‘Salt of the Earth’ with his patented high impact aerial offence. Team Taz got involved, slighted by Martin’s recent betrayal, distracting Martin long enough for MJF to get the win with the ‘Salt of the Earth’ and hit the diamond ring three-peat.
Post-match FTR came to the ring to celebrate with MJF, but the lights went out, and when they came back Sting and Darby Allin were waiting for them, with a bat wielding CM Punk joining them for a brawl before Punk suggested a trios match at Dynamite Holiday Bash.

Wardlow flattened Matt Sydal in no time at all, as Shawn Spears told him to wrap it up quicker next time. An angered Griff Garrison said he’s going to break Malakai Black’s jaw after his mist attack on Julia Hart last week. Tay Conti and Penelope Ford agreed to a submission match. Eddie Kingston had harsh words for Daniel Garcia and 2point0. And we got a look back at Hook’s much talked about AEW debut.
