All Elite Wrestling held a rare Collision taping on February 28, taping the forthcoming March 2 edition in Huntsville, Alabama.
The pre-record is due to AEW hosting Revolution in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 3, and we have all the results from the taping below.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Several storylines converged during an eight-man tag match, with Roderick Strong teaming with Brian Cage, Christian Cage, and Killswitch to take on respective PPV rivals Orange Cassidy, HOOK, Daniel Garcia, and Trent Beretta. Killswitch got the pin on Beretta thanks to interference from Nick Wayne, before all hell broke loose. The Undisputed Kingdom laid waste to OC, Christian beat down HOOK, and Killswitch took on Daniel Garcia. When Killswitch readied Garcia for a chokeslam Matt Menard attempted to make the save, but ate a chokeslam onto a chair for his troubles.
Buddy Matthews was scheduled to be in action but was blindsided by Mark Briscoe who beat down Matthews before sending him through a table. ‘The Sussex County Chicken’ attempted to use a spike on Buddy but was stopped by The House of Black, with Matthews attempting to burn Briscoe with the stage pyro. Fortunately security intervened to prevent it from happening.
With the Meat Madness match cancelled in favour of an All-Star Scramble, the final place in the match was up for grabs, with Dante Martin defeating Penta el Zero Miedo, and Bryan Keith to earn a pot in the match.
Elsewhere, Toni Storm called Deonna Purrazzo out to the ring, and insinuated that their upcoming AEW Women’s World Championship clash at Revolution would not be enough to come in the way of their friendship, but doubled down on the fact that Storm is the only one fit to be called champion. ‘The Virtuosa’ fired back, vowing to break both of Storm’s arms before the two started brawling. Mariah May attempted to make the save on Storm’s behalf but was hit with a piledriver by Deonna.
Wardlow was in the ring with Tony Schiavone vowing to win the All-Star Scramble match when he was interrupted by Chris Jericho. Jericho also vowed to win the match and get one step closer to regaining the AEW World Championship, before telling Wardlow that he lost his momentum because he simply isn’t good enough. Wardlow admitted that he did lose his momentum, and forgot who he was for a time, but has since remembered and has proven to everyone just who he is. The two came close to fighting when Jericho was bumrushed by Powerhouse Hobbs, with Hobbs beating ‘Le Champion’ in the aisle.
In Collision’s main event, The Acclaimed and Colten Gunn defeated The Dark Order in trios action.
