Aug 27, 2023
A reported 81,035 fans are in attendance at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London.
The announcement of the attendance number was made by Nigel McGuinness following the match between Will Ospreay and Chris Jericho. According to the on-screen graphic, the 81,035 number sets the record for largest paid attendance for any pro wrestling event in history.
AEW's previous high mark for attendance was 20,177 for the 2021 Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. The largest attendance of any AEW pay-per-view was the 2022 Forbidden Door, which drew 16,529 fans to the United Center in Chicago.
The "paid attendance" figure, if true, surpasses the number of reported paid fans for WWE WrestleMania 32 in Dallas in 2016. Though WWE claimed an attendance of over 101,000, though the actual paid attendance was reported to be 80,709.
The largest attendance for any wrestling card ever was the second night of Collision in Korea in 1995. A reported 165,000 fans attended the event's second night at 1st of May Stadium, but that attendance was significantly less paid.
