All Elite Wrestling have added another pay-per-view to their calendar.

To honour Antonio Inoki, Tony Khan announced during the post-All In media scrum that AEW will hold the WrestleDream pay-per-view on Sunday, October 1 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. The show will take place on the one-year anniversary of Antonio Inoki's passing.

While not confirmed, Khan stated he is hopeful that New Japan Pro-Wrestling talents will be in action at WrestleDream and he has spoken to NJPW about having their talents at the show.

AEW filed to trademark 'AEW WrestleDream' back in April 2023. The original Wrestle Dream in Kobe was held on April 1, 1991 by Super World of Sports (SWS), a promotion funded by Megane Super (an eyeglasses manufacturer). Genichiro Tenyru was the top star of the new promotion (poaching him from All Japan) and SWS formed a working relationship with WWE that saw the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, John Tenta, and Bret Hart wrestle at the event.

There was talk that AEW would be expanding their pay-per-view calendar in 2023 backstage at All In.
